Abstract: 

This study aims to explore the influence of natural light in interior architecture on mental health, highlighting architectural strategies that optimize daylight exposure to enhance psychological well-being. A scientific narrative review method was employed, analyzing scholarly articles published between 2015 and 2025 from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. The selection criteria focused on studies related to natural light in architectural design and its psychological effects, using thematic analysis to synthesize key findings on the relationship between daylight exposure and mental health. The review reveals that natural light significantly enhances mood, reduces stress, and improves cognitive performance by regulating circadian rhythms and promoting visual comfort. Architectural strategies such as large windows, skylights, atriums, and reflective surfaces are effective in maximizing daylight exposure. The findings highlight that natural light contributes to mental well-being in various settings, including workplaces, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and residential spaces, underscoring its importance in human-centric architectural design. Integrating natural light into architectural design is essential for creating environments that support mental health. Thoughtful spatial design that prioritizes daylight exposure enhances well-being, cognitive function, and emotional resilience, making it a critical consideration in contemporary architecture.

Abstract: 

Light plays a profound role in evoking meaning through architectural spaces. This has been strikingly manifested in the architecture of religious monuments particularly in mosques. From long ago, architects and builders have been exploring lighting effects reflected in many mosques and religious monuments, while figuring out the created meaningful visual effects in such architectural spaces. From an insightful perspective influenced by Islamic teachings, Iranian architects consider light a spirit casted on the structure to create a meaningful depiction. This paper attempted to examine how the concept of light in Quran has influenced the Iranian architectural style. It is assumed that implications from Quranic verses portray a transition from darkness to light and the contrast between light and dark, which can be considered a valuable role-model in the Iranian architecture. The research methodology involved an interpretivequalitative approach, and content analysis of Quranic scripture. The results of research indicate that the contrast of light and darkness, as well as involvement of light and shadow (dark) in architecture and the guidance through darkness to the light are amongst valuable concepts manifested in Iranian architecture, the concepts which are repeatedly referred to in Quranic instructions and have been of a great value in creating spiritual space. Light and shadow function as an allegory of the two valuable concepts of light and darkness in Quran, and guidance from shadows (darkness) to light, besides physical and spiritual aspects, is semantically worthy of consideration.

Abstract: 

Public policies on administrative system are principled guidelines to actions taken by triple branches of the state, nongovernmental agencies, and army forces. Administrative system is a set of interacting components (Structure, function, and governing values) forming an integrated whole to achieve political, economic, and social goals. General Public policies on administration system are useful tools to problems of governmental administration which are formulated and issued recently by the Supreme Leader of The Islamic Revolution in Iran. To implement general public policies in the administration system, it is necessary to adopt strategies for reforming and modernizing administrative system, in relation to 2025 Iran Vision. Hence, it is necessary to recognize the dominant paradigm which is underlining the general public policies in administration system. This Paradigm can direct decision makers towards reforming administrative system. This article addresses the aligning reform plans and general public policies in the administration system.

Abstract: 

Introduction The thoughts of Sheikh Ishraq (Shahā b ad-Dī n” Yahya ibn Habash Suhrawardī ) have a high status in the Islamic world. These thoughts spread in the Safavid era, so that, more than ever, they became an important and influential category in the Islamic world. Since the art of architecture is the manifestation of the thoughts and mentalities of the architects and thinkers of each historical period, it can be expected that Suhrawardi’ s thoughts are also manifested in the field of architecture. The main question of the research is whether the philosophy of Ishraq has influenced the Esfahani architectural style? And if so, how was this impact on the structure of the buildings of that era? In the following, using the interpretive-historical research method, the analysis of the views of Sheikh Ishraq and its comparative comparison with the architectural works of Esfahan doctrine were discussed. Then, using analytical-descriptive techniques, the correspondences between Suhrawardi’ s thoughts and the architectural field of Esfahani style were explained. The data collection method is done by library research and referring to architectural documents. Conclusion Studies conducted indicate that Esfahani style is significantly in line with the thoughts of Sheikh Ishraq. The various manifestations of light in the architecture of hierarchy, colors and decorations, empty space, the principle of plurality in unity, altar, golden dome, and so on can be considered as the effects of light in the architecture of this era.

Abstract: 

Mysticism entails insight in the Absolute, insight in his names, traits, and expressions. All names of Allah, such as Jamil, Badie, Mosavar, etc. are tied with art and aesthetics. Color is the expression of pluralism in unity. Light, per se, is a symbol of unity but it is embodied by color and color acts as a media for expression and emergence of light. Colors signify a specific meaning in the realm of art. For instance, green implies a divine mystical state but white is the symbol of Absoluteness. Goethic architecture seeks to create mysterious spaces through a combination of lights, shadows, and bright colors, so that the sacredness of that space is immadiately perceived. Present study attempts to examine the application of light and color in Goethic architecture and paintings. It is of descriptive-analytical type. Data is gathered through inductive reasoning and librarian method. Research findings show that Goethic architecture and painting imbued with religious concepts makes an attempt to embody God embeded in mysterious spaces through a combination of lights and colors.

Abstract: 

Aims: Light hierarchy is a secondary but highly influential issue in the perception of space and forming a unique experience in architecture. Light hierarchy is due to a light gradation which presents the priority of space content and leads the users into the space around him. This is a significant subject in Iranian-Islamic architecture that is considered in constructing a pleasant building in various ways. Instruments & Methods: To identify the factors contributing to the Light hierarchy, experts in the field of Iranian-Islamic architecture were surveyed by the Delphi method to identify the factors and their role as fundamental, main or complementary factors. To be specific, experts were also asked to rate the role of factors in the creation of light hierarchies with a Likert scale of 5 degrees. Wilcoxon test was used to analyze data at the last part. Findings: The factors were divided into three categories: “ Lighting Elements” (such as normal opening and lattice opening), “ Intermediate communication with outer space” , and “ Decorating” . Conclusions: Experts believed that the “ normal opening” had a significant effect on the “ fundamental factor” in creating a light hierarchy. In addition, “ lattice opening” and “ architectural spaces” were identified as the “ main factor” factors controlling the light, and decorations as the “ complementary factor” influence the light hierarchy.

Abstract: 

Background: The need for a rapid, noninvasive method for unwanted hair removal has led to the development of various light sources for this purpose. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Intense Pulsed Light Source (IPLS) on unwanted hairs. Patients & Methods: In this open, uncontrolled clinical trial, 77 different anatomical areas in 34 referred patients to "Novin Didegan Clinic" in Tehran in 1380-1381, were treated by IPLS at fluencies ranging from 22 to 34 j/cm2 after their demographic data and the number of hairs were recorded. The 3 to 7 treatment sessions were accomplished 4 to 6 weeks apart. All of the patients were followed 6 months after the last therapy. The quantitative data were  analyzed by paired t test. Results: Six months after the last therapy, more than 50% reduction in number of hairs was noted in 80% of the treated areas; with mean reduction of 72±23 percent. Side effects were mild and reversible and occurred in ten patients. Conclusion: The IPLS appears to provide an effective and safe method for long term excess hair removal in various skin types.

Abstract: 

Background & Aim: Impression making is considered as an important step in the fixed prosthodontics.the different impression material and techniques have been supposed to be important in the dimensional changes of dies. Furthermore, the results of different studies in this regard are contradictory. The present study compared the results of two impression making techniques of putty-wash including two-step with space and double -wash using LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity.Materials & Methods: In this experimentalinvitro study on the laboratory model, 10 impressions were made using two-step putty-wash technique with space and 10 impressions were made using double-wash techniqueby means of LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity. The impressions were poured using Velmix gypsum after 30 minutes. The height and diameter of the dies without undercut and the distance between two dies were measured 6 times while the variables were measured 3 times in the gypsum models by a blind operator using profile projector with an accuracy of micron. The mean values were calculated and the dimensions of the gypsum laboratory models were statistically analyzed by t- test.Results: The die height was decreased using both techniques of two-step with space and double-wash technique with LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity. The decrease was more pronounced in the double-wash technique by LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity. However, no significant differences were found between both techniques (P>0.05). Die diameter without undercut was significantly decreased in the double-wash technique by LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity (P<0.0001) while it was increased in the two-step technique with spaces. Slight distances were observed between two dies in the two-step impression technique with space. However, the distance between dies were increased using double-wash technique by LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity with significant differences (P<0.0001).Conclusion: The die diameter was decreased in the impression technique of double-wash using LIGHT and SUPER LIGHT viscosity while the distance between base teeth have been increased in this technique. Therefore, the technique is not accurate and needs more assessments.
